Carla Bruni

Well don't be puzzled, it's just Carla Bruni. We all know she's the first lady of France, wife of President Sarkozy. And that she was a model. Full stop. Initially I wanted to blog more on her music and fashion as I find them really worth mentioning. Very soothing for the ears, she has quite a unique, slightly husky voice.

Hmm I kinda like her. Taken nude pics.. so what? A man-eater.. so what? I like her voice. I like that she plays her own guitar. I like that she is aging gracefully.

While I dug more information, I couldn't help but wanna share more gossips with you guys. You can simply wikipedia her, but here, I save you the trouble.

Some shock factors:
  • Carla Bruni was never French till she married President Sarkozy, she was born in Turin, Italy.
  • She is a heiress to the fortune created by the Italian tire manufacturing company CEAT, founded in the 1920s by her grandfather Virginio Bruni Tedeschi.
  • She went to Paris to study art and architecture (wow), but left school at 19 to become a model.
  • Bruni was signed with City Models by Paul Marciano, president and creative director of Guess.
  • By the 1990s, Bruni was among the 20 highest-paid fashion models
  • She was involved with Eric Clapton, Louis Bertignac, Mick Jagger (Jagger's wife acknowledged his affair with Bruni was a reason for their separation) and former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius (double wow).
  • Debut album, Quelqu'un m'a dit, was produced in 2002, produced by ex-lover Louis Bertignac.
What a life yea? Heiress to highest-paying model to singer and now, a President's wife.

How's the song you are hearing now? It's from her first album, Quelqu'un m'a dit. I'm loving it! I chanced upon it from a CD store a couple of years ago, all I did was "wow she sings." That's about it. Until recently Dickson sent me a Youtube link (Thanks man!).

I think the nude pictures are quite tastefully done.




Last year, a bag maker featured a nude shot of the French first lady taken during her supermodelling youth. Oops, they got sued in the end. I think this is the photo.
